Letters to the Editor: A nation of vasectomized men — did you envision this, antiabortion zealots? — are about to be exposed by their own president.
The president of the United States is about to lose another big battle to abortion on demand. We’ve long suspected it would happen.
But the evidence is now overwhelming, and his new nominee to the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland of Indiana, who has spent his career at the law firm of Boies Schiller Flexner, is an out-and-out pro-abortion extremist.

This is a person with no credibility as a pro-abortion advocate. This is a man who has no experience as a pro-abortion advocate.
In that respect, what we have here is a perfect match for the anti-woman, pro-abortion zealots who have long tried to erase a woman’s right to control her own body. What we have here is an out-and-out fanatic for abortion.
It was no accident that Donald Trump and Judge Garland were both appointed by President Ronald Reagan. Reagan was a lifelong advocate of abortion. Reagan’s mother was a member of the right-wing Daughters of Bilitis organization that supported abortion on demand.
In his 1983 book, “The Conscience of a Conservative,” Reagan wrote: “
