The Phillies and Giants are tied 1-1 and the winner goes to 5 games

The Philadelphia Phillies are in a 1-1 tie with the San Francisco Giants in the National League Divisional Round, and in doing so, they’re now just one victory away from being swept in Philadelphia.

In an incredible comeback from being down 5-0 to the Giants on Wednesday, the Phillies are 3-for-12 with four strikeouts in the last three games. That’s something the Phillies have never had to deal with before.

It’s also a huge blow to their chances to win the series, as they’ve lost three straight games already, and are just one away from elimination.

To make matters even more painful, the Phillies haven’t beaten the Giants since 2006. The only time they’ve won in Philadelphia and the Giants have won in the last six matchups was back in 2006. Now, the Phillies have to do it with their new leadoff man, Mike Clevinger.

After they swept the Giants, the Phillies lost four straight games and are just 3-for-16 with four strikeouts in the last three games. That’s something the Phillies have never had to deal with before.
