Toronto to ramp up COVID-19 vaccine clinic operations in response to Omicron’s recent decision to reopen

The Ontario government’s decision to open up all public places like restaurants and stores for COVID-19 vaccines on March 20th has led some experts to propose an even bigger and more aggressive vaccination program.

The Ontario government will not only reopen public places like restaurants to accommodate COVID-19 vaccine clinics, but they will also open up the province’s schools to accommodate the same.

The government has revealed that they intend to open up the public’s schools to offer COVID-19 vaccines for free.

“The government has decided to open up schools to accommodate this public health measure. In fact, it appears that the Ministry of Education has already asked the province’s school board associations to help facilitate. Many of the schools being offered vaccine sites have school boards like Sudbury’s, Brampton’s, Thunder Bay’s and Toronto’s,” said Robert-Falcon Ouellette, director of the Centre for Research on Globalization.

“The government is also offering $150,000 to each of the school boards to be able to accommodate students in their respective schools.”

“The Ministry of Education claims that only 3 out of 7 schools in the province will be offered vaccine places. The Ministry of Education claim is incorrect. The Ontario government has already provided the school boards with the vaccination sites they desire, including Toronto’s E. D. Hutton Public School. Why is the Ontario government not releasing the locations of all of the other schools being offered vaccine places? It is not even clear that the Ministry of Education is telling the schools how to do their own research. Why? Maybe so that the government can deny those schools public funding if they don’t comply with the Ministry of Education’s recommendations,” warned Ouellette.

The Ministry of Education has just announced that the province will temporarily reopen all public schools in response to the state of emergency.
